Cimandis secure new Coca-Cola franchise

A division of the Channel Islands’ largest retailer has recently signed a new franchise agreement with the world’s largest beverage company. Cimandis, the food and beverage service division of SandpiperCI has again been chosen by The Coca-Cola Company (GB) to sell its products in the Channel Islands.
The loyal relationship between the two organisations can be traced back to the 1950s, which originally started with Sandpiper’s predecessor, Le Riche supermarkets. More than 18 million items are bought each year by islanders ranging from: Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Fanta, Lilt, Schweppes, Abbey Water and various Vitamin drinks.
The franchise provides employment for around 10 staff and also supports many local community activities, including: The Jersey Marathon, The Jersey Football Association, Big Gig in the Park, the Olympic Torch visit, SandAce Championship and the giant Sand Castle at St Catherine and many more.
Cimandis managing director Dave Chalk commented: “Coca-Cola operates the world's largest beverage distribution system and we’re obviously delighted that we’ll be continuing our long relationship with this premier global brand. We’re looking forward to some new innovative community support initiatives which will include promotions, sponsorship, local marketing and advertising for local organisations.
Cimandis will continue to supply distribution and other leading brands, including: Hovis, Heinz, Nescafe, Tetley, Twinings and Country Range to the local wholesale, food service, hospitality and retail sectors.
