Cimandis Supports Gurkha Charity Curry Night
Published 21 March 2016
The Gurkha Welfare Trust Jersey (GWTJ) launched its 2016 fundraising activity this month with a special dinner for invited guests at the Army Reserve Centre, Mount Bingham on Thursday 17th March.
The GWTJ was established in 2014 to help celebrate the 200th Anniversary in 2015 of loyal Gurkha service to the British Armed Forces, with the intention of raising funds to support infrastructure projects in Gurkha villages in Nepal.
The dinner once again featured a traditional Bhat curry prepared by Gurkha chefs and served to 130 guests, including His Excellency Sir John McColl KCB CBE DSO, Lieutenant Governor of Jersey, and Colonel William Shuttlewood OBE, Director of the Gurkha Welfare Trust UK.
Cimandis proudly supported the event by providing all ingredients used to make the traditional curry by the Gurkha chefs.
